Marilyn Manson is not one to hold back his political beliefs and in a newly released interview with Rolling Stone, the 48-year-old musician explained the one reason why he admires Donald Trump. And in typical Manson fashion, it's a shocker.
He admitted his support for Barack Obama in the 2012 election but did not participate in the last one, saying that he did not like either candidate. Even though his music video for "Say10" featured a Trump-like figure being decapitated, he's never fully said the current president was his target. There is one reason he admires Trump, though - his lavish Trump Tower in Manhatten.
In the interview, Manson described how he once used Trump Tower to hide from police after there was a warrant out for his arrest. “I do admire the fact that he created Trump Tower,” Manson explained. “Because when I did an interview and it went wrong and I got arrested for putting a gun in the mouth of an editor of Spin, I hid from the law there.”
Yes, you read that correctly. In 1998, Manson allegedly put a gun in the mouth of editor Craig Marks and reportedly said, "I can kill you! I can kill your family! I can kill everyone you know."
The case, according to Rolling Stone, was settled out of court.
Manson has recently made headlines after a large stage prop collapsed on the singer during a concert in New York City. He is recuperating in Los Angeles.
