Queens of the Stone Age Play "The Way You Used to Do" at Acoustic Benefit

Queens of the Stone Age wrapped up their massive Villains world tour in Australia, and while they were down under the California rockers made a special stop to Hobart, Tasmania's Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) and performed an acoustic one-off show to benefit the Royal Hobart Hospital Pediatrics Ward. The concert raised $10,000 and frontman Josh Homme's Sweet Stuff Foundation matched that donation, raising a total of $20,000. The band visited the hospital the following day to present the generous donation in person, as well as bring gifts to patients.

During the intimate show at MONA, Queens of the Stone Age performed a sparse rendition of the upbeat, bluesy Villains single, "The Way You Used to Do." The acoustic version puts Homme's gritty vocals front and center and brings a vulnerability to the song that the original doesn't capture.

Watch the band perform "The Way You Used to Do" acoustic below.

Queens of the Stone Age have been on their Villains world tour for over a year. In that time, they played 129 shows, including their first headlining gig at New York City's Madison Square Garden. With the extensive tour at its end, we can't wait to see what the band does next.
