The Lumineers Share Macabre Game Of Thrones-Inspired Track 'Nightshade'

Game of Thrones has officially for its eighth and final season, and to celebrate what's bound to be an epic ending to quite possibly *the* most beloved shows on television, HBO is releasing a star-studded soundtrack of music inspired by the series.

The Lumineers are one of many bands contributing to the album, with a macabre track called "Nightshade."

As fans know, the song's namesake is a type of poison used in Westeros, and its character begs for it in the bleak chorus: "Nightshade, won't you take me away?/ And I could hold my breath for another day/ But it was all, it was all, for the throne."

Listen to "Nightshade" below.

HBO also released Maren Morris' defiant "Kingdom of One" ahead of For The Throne's April 26 release. Aside from The Lumineers and Maren Morris, the soundtrack will also include original music from contemporary artists including X Ambassadors, Ellie Goulding, Mumford & Sons, The National, Travis Scott, and many others. Pre-order For The Throne, complete with limited edition house covers, here.

The Lumineers also recently announced their third studio album, aptly titled III, and released a new single called "Gloria." The album is slated for a September 13 release.
