Hayley Williams Pays Tribute To Her Ride Or Dies In New Song ‘My Friend’

Hayley Williams is back at it with another new song!

On Thursday (April 9), Williams released another offering off her solo debut, Petals For Armor, titled “My Friend.” As you can guess, the new track pays homage to the people closest to her.

Along with the song, the singer dropped the lyric video that showcases her best friends including Good Dye Young co-founder Brian O'Connor, Paramore's Taylor York, and Williams' go-to photog friend, Lindsey Byrnes.

The entire song is all about feeling grateful for her friends (who are there for her through all the good and, most importantly, the bad) as well as always having their backs as much as they have hers.

In the chorus she sings: “My friend/ When the blood has dried/ My friend/ Instant alibi/ You’ve seen me from every side/ Still down for the ride/ My friend/ You know why” and if there was ever a time to start the trend of first dances with best friends at weddings this is the song!

“My Friend” comes just a week after Williams released another uplifting song, “Over Yet.” She also gifted fans with the perfect at-home workout video to the track earlier in the week.

The 31-year-old will continue releasing new songs individually for fans ahead of Petals For Armor's release on May 8. “My hope is that in doing this, there will be something new to look forward to as the strange days roll by,” she explained about the song drops.

Can't wait to hear more!
