Earlier this month, Jack White slyly snuck vinyl copies of a surprise album into the bags of shoppers at Third Man Records, now he's giving the project, aptly titled No Name, a wide release. And it's coming out in just a couple days.
According to a press release, White recorded, produced, and mixed the album at his Third Man Records Nashville studio in 2023 and 2024. This will be the former White Stripes bandleader's sixth solo album, following Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive, which both came out in 2022.
White's summer just got a little busier, as he was recently announced to fill in for Queens of the Stone Age at three European festivals next month while Josh Homme recovers from "emergency surgery."
No Name will be available at all Third Man Records locations on Thursday (August 1) and will be released at other independent stores, as well as streaming platforms, the next day (August 2). See his announcement post and the album tracklist below.
