Creed frontman Scott Stapp teamed up with rock queen Dorothy on their duet, "If These Walls Could Talk" from his newest solo album, and now, he is opening up about the empowering message behind the Higher Power song.
In "If These Walls Could Talk," the chorus includes lyrics, "If these walls could talk/ They'd tell the hell and the secrets, the demons I fought/ They know just how far I've come/ If these walls could talk."
Stapp shared the powerful meaning behind his new song featuring Dorothy in a statement to iHeartRadio. He explained, "'Walls' comes at a turning point on the Higher Power album. It's that moment, after suffering in silence, when you acknowledge how far you've come and recommit to moving forward."
"If These Walls Could Talk" comes from Stapp's latest solo album, Higher Power, which also includes hits like "Black Butterfly" and the title track, "Higher Power." The song, written by Stapp with Kylie Sackley (Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Walker Hayes), Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Ozzy Osbourne, Faith Hill), and Scott Stevens (Halestorm, Shinedown) was live debuted at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in an incredible performance.
