Green Day are known for closing their sets with "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" and sometimes bring up a fan onstage to help them play it. On Monday night (June 30), at a show in Luxembourg, that lucky fan thought it would be funny to play Oasis' "Wonderwall" on the acoustic guitar instead. Billie Joe Armstrong shut down the stunt really quick.

"Oh f**k me," he exclaimed, taking the guitar from the young fan. Despite his pleas, Armstrong had him ushered off stage. "Nice try," he said.

Someone in the crowd caught the whole thing on camera and posted it to social media. It caught the attention of Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, who responded on X saying: “Best song of the night.”

See the clip, and Gallagher's response, below.

Green Day's currently on tour in Europe, and this isn't Armstrong's first altercation with a fan during the trek. He recently came close to physically fighting someone at the Hurricane Festival in Germany when the fan repeatedly squirted him in the face with a water gun.

After Europe, Green Day head to North American briefly before touring South America. They'll spend the latter part of September in the US, playing sets at Riot Fest, Oceans Calling Festival and Ohana Festival.
